A workshop by Constanza Castagnet
Because there is not one version or singular voice, not one static self on us, this workshop puts attention into using our voice as an instrument that provides new textures and sonorities to ourselves. We will delve into techniques to dislocate our recognized voices while working collectively as a group.
Constanza Castagnet is an Argentinian vocalist and artist investigating the influence of sound on language. Through immersive sound installations, audiovisual pieces, text, and performances she explores how the voice can be an instrument of resistance over its function to transmit and communicate meaning. In parallel she co-founded aux)), a program addressing sound and listening as ways of knowing.https://constanzacastagnet.co/
Workshop: November 15
Place: Auditorium 3rd floor BC Building
Time: 14-17 hrs
THE WORKSHOPS ARE SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE INTERESTED, NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY, AND THE AIM IS TO CREATE A SPACE FOR CREATION IN A COLLABORATIVE, EXPERIMENTAL, AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT.
